Foreign Languages – Assessments
inlingua® Washington DC is more than just a language school where students take English classes or foreign language classes. Our language institute is able to provide comprehensive assessment of the foreign language proficiency (or English proficiency) of your organization’s staff, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standard for describing language ability. This can be useful for evaluating new hires, for determining the best language-related assignments for your team, or for determining the need for additional language training for current staff members.
How would customized language assessments strengthen your organization?
Foreign language (or English) proficiency assessment may be conducted for individuals or larger organizational groups and may be conducted at the client site, at inlingua®’s language school in Arlington, VA, near the Rosslyn Metro Station, or through remote/virtual testing.
Customized proficiency assessment includes a online section (grammar, vocabulary, listening), speaking section, and a writing section. Our online inlingua® language proficiency assessment covers all critical aspects of grammar, as well as comprehension and listening. The assessments will be conducted and evaluated by our team of experienced trainers.
In addition to language proficiency assessments, inlingua® Washington DC can provide, upon request, advisory services to assist organizations with designating specific recommended proficiency levels for staff positions, which is highly advantageous for international organizations. This enables proficiency assessing and follow-up language classes to best fit the targeted language proficiency requirements of each organizational function.
inlingua® Washington DC diagnostic specialists can create a personalized report, including detailed feedback for the assessment candidate, discussing the specific areas in which the candidate may benefit from additional language training, such as foreign language classes, accent reduction, business language (foreign languages or English), and much more. The feedback will provide the assessment taker’s CEFR band level, as well as available training options.
