inlingua® 140-Hour Intensive TEFL Certificate
Intensive TEFL Program 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for 4 weeks.
Semi-Intensive TEFL Program 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, plus Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for 8 weeks.
Prerequisites: All applicants must have a high school diploma. Non-native English speakers must also have an iBT score ≥100 (OR) higher (OR) CBT score ≥250 (OR) an IELTS score of Academic Band 7 or higher.

inlingua® Washington, DC is now offering a new professional development program: 140-hour Intensive TEFL Certificate. Our language center provides some of the most cutting edge methods in English language teaching in an ESL/EFL environment. After 23 years of language instruction, inlingua® Washington, DC has fine-tuned the art of language teaching with its own unique inlingua Method. This intensive certificate enables successful teachers to travel around the world, teaching English in all types of learning environments, obtaining the credentials and know-how to succeed!
This certificate prepares students and residents who want to teach ESL/EFL in the United States or abroad at the post-secondary level. Candidates can register for all classes, which would equal 2 intensive classes, or take them one by one, over a two-month period. All TEFL classes are open to F-1 students. Non-native speakers of English may be required to have an oral interview prior to the class as part of the application process to assure a strong oral ability. (A Bachelors Degree is required for teaching positions at inlingua and certain other organizations. Please check with prospective employers for additional information about their requirements.)
These courses include a thorough overview of the English language including grammar, parts of speech, vocabulary, idioms, listening and fluency, and effective and fun ways of teaching it. Learn how to teach through various techniques and methodologies which can be applied to all aspects of language learning. After successful completion of this course, teachers will have the confidence and know-how to teach all levels and backgrounds.
