On July 21, 2011, Inlingua Washington DC entered into a broad range partnership agreement (the “Agreement”) with Yulun. Yulun is a consortium based in Shanghai, China, which is a leader in the education services industry. Yulun offers a wide array of services in China through partnership agreements, management agreements, joint venture agreements and other arrangements with accredited and highly regarded schools, universities and other educational institutions.
Under the Agreement, Inlingua Washington DC will develop, implement and oversee a robust English program for Yulun and its partners in China. As part of the engagement, Inlingua Washington DC will provide a head teacher and academic support for the program. The Agreement also provides that Yulun will send graduates of the program, as well as students from other schools in China, for a 3 month immersion program or other applicable English courses of longer duration at Inlingua Washington DC’s facilities in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
inlingua® Washington DC is proud to welcome Heather Winfield and Shireen Lakhani to its top notch staff. Heather and Shireen are both experienced English teachers who have been with inlingua through its transformations in the past year.
Heather will be taking over as Manager of Student Services & Homestay, where she will work with students to ensure that they enjoy their time with our school as much as possible. In addition to organizing American homestay for international students, she will plan a variety of extracurricular activities and encourage students to make school social and fun!
Shireen will be working with current Academic Coordinators on Curriculum Development projects to expand and improve on inlingua’s already excellent academic programs, especially with modern educational technology. She comes with a range of experiences and a lot of new ideas to help keep the learning process new and engaging.

July 19th, 2001 – IELTS International has recognized Inlingua Washington DC as the number one testing center in the United States. Inlingua faced tough competition from institutions across the country, but managed to come out on top!
IELTS is one of the most common standardized tests of English language proficiency, with both Academic and General Training modules and four test sessions per month. IELTS is recognized by over 6,000 organizations worldwide, including universities, employers, professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies. Inlingua has been an IELTS testing site since September 2002 and will continue to offer the highest testing service possible.
